Trivia
- The film's title 'Capmaari' is a Tamil slang word meaning 'to cheat or deceive', directly hinting at the plot's central conflict.
- This was the final film directed by veteran filmmaker S. A. Chandrasekhar before his passing in 2023, marking the end of a decades-long career.
- Actress Mahima Nambiar, who plays Varsha, had to wear a prosthetic belly for her pregnant character's scenes throughout the shoot.
- The movie's plot of a past fling returning with a pregnancy claim is a recurring theme in several Tamil films from the late 2010s.
- Despite the dramatic premise, the film was primarily marketed and received as a light-hearted comedy-drama.
- The train sequence where the lead characters first meet was filmed on a specially designed set to simulate a moving coach.
- The film's soundtrack, composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, includes a song that subtly reuses a melodic motif from one of his earlier popular scores.
