Trivia
- The film's director NS Ponkumar is also a former assistant director to famous Tamil filmmaker Shankar.
- The movie was shot in a specially built village set in Pollachi, Tamil Nadu, to create the isolated pre-independence atmosphere.
- Actor Gautham Karthik, who plays the lead role of Param, had to learn and perform traditional stick-fighting (Silambam) for his action sequences.
- The film's release was delayed by several months due to post-production work and scheduling changes with the cast.
- It features a cameo appearance by veteran actor Nassar, who plays a key supporting role as a village elder.
- The story is inspired by real historical accounts of remote villages that did not immediately learn about India's independence in 1947.
- The movie's title refers to the exact date of India's independence, but the plot focuses on the two days leading up to it.
