Amirtham(2006)
Amirtham is a 2006 Indian Tamil-language drama film written, produced, and directed by K. Kannan in his directorial debut. The film stars Girish Karnad, Navya Nair, and Ganesh in lead roles. Storyline
In the village of Mukkudal, a poor Brahmin priest named Ramaswamy Iyengar lives a peaceful life with his wife and daughter Amirtha. When Amirtha falls in love with a Nadaswaram player from a different caste, Ramaswamy Iyengar must choose between upholding tradition and supporting his daughter's happiness. The village turns against him, forcing him to make an impossible choice.
