'Rightaa Thappaa' is a 2005 Indian Tamil-language drama film written and directed by journalist-turned-filmmaker R. Buvana. The film stars Ramana, Uma, and Seetha in lead roles. The story follows Sathya, a college student who intervenes when a woman is harassed on a bus, and the violent retaliation he and his family face from the perpetrators. Based on a true incident, the film addresses the social issue of eve teasing with a realistic, documentary-like tone. It won two Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, including Best Family Film and Best Character Actor for Seetha. The film was first screened in 2004 and released theatrically on 4 March 2005.

Storyline
