Album(2002)
'Album' is a 2002 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film written and directed by G. Vasanthabalan in his directorial debut. The film stars newcomers Rajesh and Shrutika in lead roles, with supporting performances by Saritha, Prakash Raj, Vijayakumar, Balachandra Menon, and Nizhalgal Ravi. The story centres on two neighbouring families whose children, Jeeva and Viji, fall in love. The film is noted for its realistic portrayal of family dynamics and everyday life in a Tamil neighbourhood. It is best remembered for the chartbuster song 'Chellame Chellam', which marked Shreya Ghoshal's first Tamil playback recording. Despite its musical success, the film was a box office failure and received mixed reviews for its slow pace and simple storyline. The film was produced by Kavithalayaa Productions.
