
Gummalam(2002)
Gummalam is a 2002 Indian Tamil-language teen film directed by Sugi S. Moorthy. The film features newcomers Mithun Tejaswi, Rathi, Akash, Ganesh, and Zakeer in lead roles. The story follows Dinesh, a college student who falls in love with Anu and must win the approval of her protective uncle. The film was shot primarily in Ooty and Rameswaram. Cinematography was handled by Krishna, who previously worked as an assistant to Santosh Sivan. The soundtrack was composed by Gandhidasan. Critical reception was mixed, with praise for the debut actors but criticism of the weak story and treatment. The film was produced by Kandhasamy, who previously produced the acclaimed film Sethu (1999).

Storyline
