Vadupatti Maapillai (transl. Son-in-law from Vadugapatti) is a 2001 Tamil-language romantic comedy film produced, co-written and directed by V. C. Guhanathan. The film stars Hamsavardhan and Reshma in lead roles, with Vivek, Vadivelu, Senthil, and Kovai Sarala in supporting roles. The story follows a village girl who transforms her identity after her city-based fiancé rejects her for her simple looks. She enters his life as a modern woman named Jeena to make him fall in love with her true self. The film features music composed by Sirpy and lyrics by Palani Bharathi. It was released on 21 December 2001. The lead pair Hamsavardhan and Reshma married in real life after the film.

Storyline
