Simmasanam (2000) is a Tamil-language action drama film directed by Eswaran in his directorial debut. The film stars Vijayakanth in a triple role as Sathyamurthy and his two sons, Sakthivel and Thangarasu. The supporting cast includes Khushbu Sundar, Manthra, Radhika Chaudhari, Ambika, Viji, and Rajan P. Dev. The story is set in a remote Tamil village where a kind village chief is poisoned by his wife and her brothers, and a poor woman is falsely blamed for the murder.
