Aval Paavam(2000)
Aval Paavam is a 2000 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by M. K. Arundhava Raja in his feature film debut. The film stars Prabhukanth and Ritika in lead roles, with Ishari K. Ganesh in a supporting part. The story follows a young woman from a poor family who turns to prostitution to support her ailing father and younger siblings. Produced by K. Rajan on a low budget, the film was briefly retitled Chembaruthi Poove before reverting to its original name. Critics praised the screenplay for avoiding melodrama and sexual exploitation of the theme. The soundtrack was composed by Pradeep Ravi. The film was released on 22 December 2000.

Storyline
Lakshmi is a young woman from a desperately poor family. Her father is sick and her siblings are starving. With no other options, she secretly sells her body to bring home money. When a kind man named Prabhukanth falls in love with her, her dark secret threatens to destroy everything.
