Sendhooram(1998)
'Sendhooram' is a 1998 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Sangaman in his directorial debut. The film stars newcomer Moorthy as Kattaalai and Devayani as Megala, with Prakash Raj, Radhika, and R. Sundarrajan in supporting roles. The story follows a mentally ill man who dreams of marriage and a woman escaping a traumatic past, set in a village ruled by a cruel chief. The film was initially shelved due to financial issues but was revived with help from financier Dharamchand Lungat. Ilaiyaraaja composed the soundtrack, which features six songs. The film received a mixed review from The Hindu, which criticized the director's inexperience but acknowledged the effort of the lead actor. It was released on 11 September 1998.

Storyline
Kattaalai, a kind man with a mental illness, dreams of getting married in a village that mocks him. Megala, a woman with a painful past, arrives seeking safety but becomes trapped by the abusive village chief. When Kattaalai and Megala marry, the chief's jealousy turns violent, forcing Kattaalai to make a terrible choice.
