Thanga Magal(1998)
Thanga Meenkal (also spelled Thanga Meengal) is a 2013 Indian Tamil-language children's drama film directed by Ram. The film stars Ram as Kalyana Raman, alongside Baby Sadhana, Shelly Kishore, Rohini, and Padmapriya. The story follows a poor laborer who struggles to provide for his eight-year-old daughter while living under his father's shadow. The film was produced by J. Satish Kumar and Gautham Vasudev Menon under JSK Film Corporation and Photon Kathaas. It won three National Film Awards, including Best Tamil Film, Best Child Artist for Sadhana, and Best Lyricist for Na. Muthukumar. The film was screened at the Indian Panorama section of the 44th International Film Festival of India. It was released on 30 August 2013.

Storyline
A poor laborer named Kalyana Raman loves his eight-year-old daughter Chellamma more than anything. He wants her to be happy but struggles to find work. When he takes a job far from home, their bond is tested. Chellamma faces bullying at school and misses her father. Kalyana Raman must choose between earning money and being with his daughter.
