Sundara Purushan is a 1996 Indian Tamil-language comedy drama film directed by Sabapathy Dekshinamurthy. It stars Livingston and Rambha in lead roles, with Vadivelu and Vadivukkarasi in supporting parts. The story follows Ganesan, who returns to his village after 17 years to win his childhood love Valli, only to find she loves another man. The film balances serious themes of forced marriage with comedic undertones. Livingston also wrote the story and screenplay, drawing inspiration from his mentor K. Bhagyaraj. The cinematography by Arthur A. Wilson won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Cinematographer. The film was released on 12 July 1996.

Storyline

Ganesan returns to his village after 17 years to marry his childhood love Valli. But Valli loves Raja, a jobless graduate. Ganesan unknowingly helps Raja get a job. When his brother frames Raja, Ganesan marries Valli but keeps his distance. He must choose between his own happiness and hers.
