Neela Kuyil(1995)
Neela Kuyil is a 1995 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Alleppey Ashraf. The film stars Pandiarajan and Rajashree in lead roles, with Manorama, Radha Ravi, Vennira Aadai Moorthy, Senthil, Vadivelu, and Y. G. Mahendra in supporting roles. The story follows Muthusamy, a poor street dweller who falls in love with Shalini, a blind flower seller. He lies about his wealth and sells his mother's gold pendant to pay for her eye surgery. He is arrested for theft and goes to jail. When he is released, Shalini has become a famous singer and does not recognize him. The film is a remake of the Malayalam film Ninnistham Ennishtam, which was inspired by Charlie Chaplin's City Lights. The climax was shot before 3,000 spectators in an auditorium. The soundtrack was composed by Manikka Vinayagam. The film was released on 23 October 1995.

Storyline
A poor street dweller named Muthusamy lies to a blind flower seller named Shalini, pretending to be a rich businessman. He falls in love with her and secretly works to pay for her eye surgery. After being arrested for selling his mother's pendant, he goes to jail. When he is released, Shalini has gained her sight and become a famous singer. She does not recognize him, and he must decide whether to reveal the truth or let her go.
