→Trivia
- The film was originally titled 'Indian Army' but was renamed to 'I Love India' for its patriotic appeal.
- Director Pavithran was known for action films but this was his only major collaboration with actor Sarath Kumar.
- The Kashmir terrorism plot was considered bold for 1993 Tamil cinema, which rarely tackled such contemporary political themes.
- Actress Shenbagam, who played the sister, was primarily a dancer and this was one of her few acting roles.
- The movie's climax was shot in Ooty, standing in for Kashmir due to filming restrictions in the actual region.
- It featured a cameo by veteran actor Nizhalgal Ravi in a supporting role as a military officer.
- The film's release coincided with a period of increased patriotic sentiment in Indian cinema post the 1991 economic reforms.
