Pandithurai is a 1992 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Manoj Kumar. The film stars Prabhu in the title role alongside Khushbu, Radha Ravi, and Silk Smitha. The story follows Pandithurai, a loyal young man who discovers his wealthy brother-in-law Malaisamy's secret affair with a stage dancer. Set in a traditional Tamil village, the film explores family loyalty, hidden secrets, and the clash between respect and truth. The music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja with lyrics by Vaali, Gangai Amaran, and Piraisoodan. The film completed a 100-day theatrical run and was later remade in Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada. It was released on 15 January 1992.

Storyline
Pandithurai leaves his parents to live with his sister and her rich husband Malaisamy. He grows up loyal and respectful. But when he discovers Malaisamy's secret affair with a dancer, he tries to stop it. Malaisamy throws him out. Now Pandithurai must fight to expose the truth and win back his love Muthulakshmi.
