Chinna Thayee(1992)
Chinna Thayee (transl. Young mother) is a 1992 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by S. Ganesaraj. The film stars Vignesh and Padmashri in lead roles. The story is set in a rural Tamil village where a man impersonates a deity to control the community. It follows the love between Ponrasu, the son of the fake godman, and Chinna Thayee, a village girl. The film explores themes of superstition, abuse of religious authority, and women's suffering. Ilaiyaraaja composed the soundtrack, with lyrics by Vaali. The Indian Express critic N. Krishnaswamy praised the film for its elemental power and strong performances. It completed a 100-day theatrical run. The film was released on 1 February 1992.

Storyline
Ponrasu returns to his village after studying in the city. He loves Chinna Thayee, but her mother opposes the relationship. His father is a fake godman who controls the village through fear. When Chinna Thayee becomes pregnant, dark secrets explode. Ponrasu must choose between his father's lies and the woman he loves.
