Adhikari is a 1991 Indian Tamil-language action film directed by P. Vasu. The film stars C. Arunpandian as Duraipandi, a customs officer, and Gautami as Ponni. The supporting cast includes Anand, Goundamani, Senthil, Sethu Vinayagam, Srividya, and Anju. The story follows Duraipandi, an honest officer who is framed for rape by a gold smuggler named Varadappan. After escaping from jail, he becomes a fugitive seeking revenge while being hunted by the police. The film is a remake of P. Vasu's own 1986 Kannada film Guri. It was released on 14 April 1991 and was an unexpected box office failure. The soundtrack was composed by Gangai Amaran with lyrics by Vaali.
