Pudhu Padagan(1990)
Pudhu Padagan is a 1990 Tamil-language action drama film written, produced, directed, and scored by Kalaipuli S. Thanu. It stars Vijayakanth as Manikkam and Amala as Devi, with Sarathkumar, Radha Ravi, and Chandrasekhar in supporting roles. The story follows Manikkam, a village man who goes to jail to protect his brother-in-law, and returns to find his childhood love Devi married to another man. The film was shot in Ooty and features a soundtrack composed by Thanu with lyrics also written by him. Critical reception was mixed, with Kalki magazine noting the title's mismatch with the film's content. Pudhu Padagan was released on 14 April 1990.

Storyline
Manikkam loves his cousin Devi since childhood. When his brother-in-law commits a murder, Manikkam takes the blame and goes to jail. While he is away, Devi is forced to marry another man to save her sick niece. Manikkam returns to find his love lost and his mind broken. Can he recover and win her back?
