Oohalu Gusagusalade (transl. Imaginations whispered) is a 2014 Indian Telugu-language romantic comedy film written and directed by Srinivas Avasarala in his directorial debut. The film stars Naga Shaurya, Raashii Khanna in her Telugu debut, and Avasarala. It is an adaptation of Edmond Rostand's 1897 French play Cyrano de Bergerac. The story follows Venky, a teleshopping anchor who helps his awkward boss Uday woo a woman, only to discover she is the girl he once loved. The film was produced by Sai Korrapati and Rajani Korrapati under Vaaraahi Chalana Chitram. Principal photography took place in Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam from October 2013. Upon its worldwide release on 20 June 2014, the film received positive reviews for its witty screenplay and fresh performances. It became a commercial success and was later named one of the 25 Greatest Telugu Films of the Decade by Film Companion.

Storyline

Venky dreams of becoming a newsreader, but his boss Uday blocks his promotion. Uday is hopeless with women and asks Venky to help him win the heart of a girl named Sirisha. Venky agrees under pressure, but soon discovers Sirisha is actually Prabha, the girl he loved and lost four years ago.
