Bodyguard is a 2012 Telugu-language romantic comedy action film directed by Gopichand Malineni. The film stars Venkatesh, Trisha, and Prakash Raj in lead roles. It follows Venkatadri, a loyal bodyguard assigned to protect Keerthi, a college student. Keerthi creates a fake phone romance to distract him, but the deception leads to years of misunderstanding and lost love. The film is a remake of the 2010 Malayalam film of the same name. It received positive reviews for its blend of comedy, drama, and emotion. Bodyguard was released on 14 January 2012 during the Sankranti festival and became a decent hit at the box office.

Storyline
Venkatadri is a tough bodyguard hired to protect Keerthi, a college student. She feels suffocated by his constant watch. To distract him, she calls him from a private number, pretending to be a stranger. Venkatadri falls in love with the voice. But when they plan to meet, a friend steals her place, and the truth stays hidden for years.
