Trivia

  • The film's title 'Mythri' is a less common spelling of the Sanskrit word 'Mitra', which means friend.
  • Actress Sadha, who plays the lead, was a popular Tamil actress making a rare appearance in a Telugu film during this period.
  • The movie was shot primarily in a single, isolated bungalow location to create a suspenseful atmosphere.
  • Composer Mani Sharma, known for many mass hits, provided the music, but the album did not become a major commercial success.
  • Brahmanandam's character, though a channel head, brings his signature comedic touch to an otherwise thriller plot.
  • The film's director, J. D. Chakravarthy, is better known as an actor for his iconic role in the 1998 film 'Satya'.
  • Despite its thriller elements, the movie performed poorly at the box office and is not widely remembered today.
