
Pournami(2006)
Pournami is a 2006 Telugu romantic musical action film directed by Prabhu Deva and produced by M.S. Raju. The cast includes Prabhas, Trisha, Charmy Kaur, Sindhu Tolani, and Rahul Dev. Set in the 1960s, the story follows Siva Kesava, a dance instructor who trains a young woman named Chandrakala for a sacred temple dance ritual. The narrative reveals deep ties to her missing sister Pournami and a family tradition of dancing for rain. The film blends classical dance, romance, and action against a period backdrop. It was shot at historical locations in Hampi, including the Virupaksha Temple. The music was composed by Devi Sri Prasad. Storyline
A young woman named Pournami disappears just before she must perform a sacred temple dance. Her sister Chandrakala must learn the dance from a mysterious instructor named Siva Kesava. But Kesava has a hidden past connected to Pournami. A cruel zamindar threatens to destroy the tradition. Can Chandrakala save her family's legacy?
