Trivia

  • The film was originally titled 'Subhash Chandra Bose' but was renamed 'Subash Chandra Bose' for its release, possibly to avoid confusion with the historical figure.
  • This was the first and only time veteran actor Tom Alter, known for playing British roles, appeared in a Telugu film directed by K. Raghavendra Rao.
  • The movie features a rare dual role for Venkatesh, playing both a modern-day journalist and a freedom fighter inspired by Netaji.
  • Despite its patriotic theme, the film was a commercial disappointment at the box office upon its release in 2005.
  • Actress Genelia D'Souza, who played the female lead, was still early in her career and this was one of her first major Telugu films.
  • The plot device of a character having flashbacks to a past life was an unusual narrative choice for a historical action drama in Telugu cinema at the time.
  • Noted Bollywood villain Gulshan Grover played the main antagonist, a British officer, continuing his trend of playing negative roles in South Indian films.
