The story follows Jairam, a brilliant student who challenges a Pakistani boxer to a fight after the boxer insults India. Jai trains intensely but is attacked by the Pakistanis, suffering a severe hand injury. Despite the injury, he fights and wins, chanting 'Vande Mataram'. The film was shot in Hyderabad, Pollachi, and Chalakudy. It received mixed reviews from critics but was a commercial success. The film was dubbed and partially reshot in Tamil as Jairam.
