Trivia
- The film's title 'Rajini Gaang' is a playful nod to the lead character's name and the group dynamic, not directly referencing superstar Rajinikanth.
- Director M. Ramesh Bharathi has a background in television serials, bringing a fast-paced narrative style to this genre mashup.
- The plot device of a stolen 'thali' (mangalsutra) driving a supernatural revenge story is a fresh twist on classic Tamil ghost lore.
- The comedy-horror blend aims to recall the tone of cult Tamil films like 'Siva Manasula Sakthi' but with a rural setting.
- The ghost character Ponnarasi's name, meaning 'golden queen', is a common, traditional name often used in folklore-inspired tales.
- The film was shot extensively in real village locations in Tamil Nadu to enhance the rustic and eerie atmosphere.
- This is one of the few 2025 Tamil releases to combine a road trip narrative with a possession storyline.
