- The director Elangovan Selvaraj is a former assistant to director M. Rajesh, known for his comedy films.
- The film's title and story were inspired by the director's own observations of daily commuters on the Chennai Metro.
- Much of the film was shot on actual moving metro trains during off-peak hours to capture authentic backgrounds.
- The lead actors reportedly did not meet before their first scene together to create a genuine sense of unfamiliarity.
- The soundtrack features a song composed by a debutant music director discovered through an online competition.
- The film uses specific color grading to visually distinguish the characters' emotional states in different metro stations.
- It is one of the few Tamil films set almost entirely within the public transit system of Chennai.
