→Trivia
- The film's title 'Sprout' metaphorically represents both the kite-flying theme and the protagonist's personal growth.
- Director Kuhanraj Rajasingam reportedly drew inspiration from his own childhood memories of monsoon seasons in Tamil Nadu.
- The production used practical effects for the rain sequences to maintain authenticity, avoiding heavy CGI.
- The kite-making process shown aligns with traditional methods still practiced in parts of rural Tamil Nadu.
- This is one of the few recent Tamil films to integrate a school's Pendidikan Seni Visual (Visual Art Education) curriculum as a central plot element.
- The film's climax was shot during actual mild rainfall to capture genuine reactions from the child actors.
- Early promotional material highlighted the film as a family-friendly blend of simple storytelling and subtle science education.
