Trivia

  • The film's title is a direct nod to the 2011 crime drama 'The Devil's Double', but reimagined for a meta-horror context.
  • Director S. Premanand is known for low-budget horror-comedies, and this film marks his attempt at a more complex, non-linear narrative structure.
  • The script intentionally includes visual references to classic Tamil horror films like 'Chandramukhi' and 'Pisaasu'.
  • A significant portion of the movie was shot in a single, repurposed cinema hall to create the claustrophobic 'trapped' feeling.
  • The film's looping day-night cycles were achieved through controlled lighting on a closed set, not with CGI.
  • This is one of the first Tamil horror films to directly critique the profession and influence of film critics within its plot.
  • The actor playing the movie critic reportedly watched over 50 horror films as preparation for his role.
