→Trivia
- The film's title 'Simple Manusan' is a playful nod to a popular Tamil phrase meaning 'simple man', often used in memes and casual conversations.
- Director Haran Kaveri reportedly drew inspiration from real-life interviews with single men in Chennai's barber shops for the story.
- The lead actor, new to Tamil cinema, trained for two months in an actual barber shop to perform all the haircut scenes himself.
- A key romantic scene was filmed at the historic Vivekananda House in Chennai, a location rarely used in modern Tamil comedies.
- The movie's soundtrack includes a subtle musical motif using a traditional barber's razor-sharpening sound, blended into the background score.
- Despite being a comedy, the script originally had a darker ending before test audiences prompted a reshoot for a more hopeful conclusion.
- The film's promotional campaign included free haircuts at select theaters on opening day, tying directly to the protagonist's profession.
