Trivia
- The film's title 'Kanhaiya Vastavaiya' is a phrase in the Bhojpuri dialect, roughly meaning 'Kanhaiya's reality' or 'Kanhaiya's truth'.
- Director Aniket Kumar spent months living in a village in Bihar to research the local dynamics and dialect for authenticity.
- The character name 'Gop Ji' is a common honorific for village elders in parts of Eastern Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

- The film was primarily shot on location in real villages to avoid set construction and capture natural lighting.
- This was the first major Hindi film role for the actor playing Kanhaiya, who was selected from local theatre workshops.
- The original score uses folk instruments like the shehnai and dholak, recorded with musicians from the region.
