Trivia

  • The film's director Kumara Swamy Bathula is also a noted cinematographer, bringing a distinct visual style to the horror sequences.
  • The movie's title 'Prematho Deyyam' translates to 'The Ghost of Love', hinting at the spirit Kalajyothi's tragic backstory.
  • Some scenes were reportedly shot in real, reputedly haunted locations in rural Andhra Pradesh to enhance authenticity.
  • The character name Kalajyothi, meaning 'artistic light' or 'eternal flame', contrasts with her dark, vengeful spirit in the plot.
  • This was one of the few Telugu horror films released in early 2025 to experiment with Dolby Atmos sound design for jump scares.
  • The film's promotional campaign focused on the emotional love story of the spirit rather than just typical horror tropes.
  • A special makeup team was brought in to create the possessed look for the actress playing Swamy's wife, using practical effects over CGI.
