Trivia
- The film's title 'Khushi' was inspired by a popular song from the 1997 Hindi film 'Pardes', which also means happiness.
- S. J. Suryah, the director, also composed the film's music, making it one of the few Telugu films where the director handled both roles.
- Actress Bhoomika Chawla made her Telugu debut with this film, which launched her to stardom in the industry.
- A major portion of the film was shot in picturesque locations in New Zealand, which was uncommon for Telugu films at that time.
- The film's climax scene involving a helicopter was considered a grand and expensive setup for a romantic drama in early 2000s Telugu cinema.
- Despite being a romantic drama, the film includes a comedy track featuring actor Brahmanandam, which was added to appeal to broader audiences.
- The movie was a major commercial success and is often credited with popularizing the 'separated lovers reunited' trope in early 2000s Telugu films.
