Trivia

  • The film's director Ghanta Satish Babu is also a popular Telugu television host and comedian, making this a rare serious directorial venture for him.
  • The movie was shot primarily in and around Visakhapatnam, with key scenes filmed at the RK Beach and surrounding hills.
  • Actress Anasuya Bharadwaj, who plays the lead, is better known as a TV anchor and this was one of her few full-length film roles as a protagonist.
  • The title 'Butterfly' is a metaphor used in the story, representing transformation and the delicate, unpredictable nature of the mystery.
  • Despite being a thriller, the film incorporates subtle background score elements inspired by classical Carnatic music to build tension.
  • The child actors in the film were selected through a local audition process in Visakhapatnam, not from mainstream cinema circles.
  • The movie had a very limited theatrical release, focusing more on direct-to-digital streaming platforms shortly after its premiere.
