Trivia
- The film is a remake of the 1998 Tamil movie 'Ninaithen Vandhai', which starred Vijay and Simran.
- This was the first and only time Chiranjeevi and Ramya Krishna were paired as a romantic couple in a film.
- The movie's music was composed by S. A. Rajkumar, who was a frequent collaborator with director K. Raghavendra Rao.
- A key song, "Prema Prema", was shot in picturesque locations in New Zealand, which was uncommon for Telugu films at the time.
- The film's plot focusing on a deep, platonic friendship between a man and a woman was considered a bold theme for mainstream Telugu cinema in the late 1990s.
- Despite the star cast, the film had a moderate box office performance compared to Chiranjeevi's other major hits of that era.
