Trivia

  • The film's creature Munjya is based on a lesser-known folk legend from the Konkan region of Maharashtra, not a widely known pan-Indian myth.
  • Director Aditya Sarpotdar previously directed the Marathi horror hit 'Zombivli' before making his Hindi debut with this film.
  • The movie was shot extensively in real villages and coastal areas of Maharashtra to capture an authentic atmosphere.
  • It is part of producer Maddock Films' planned horror-comedy universe, which also includes 'Stree' and 'Bhediya'.
  • The visual effects for the Munjya character involved a mix of CGI and practical effects to make it look more tangible.
  • Actor Abhay Verma, who plays the lead, reportedly performed many of his own stunts during the chaotic action sequences.
  • The film's title and core concept were finalized years before production began, as the idea was in development for a long time.
