Together, the sisters launch a dangerous mission to take down the commander and destroy his entire illegal military program before he can turn more innocent people into weapons.

Trivia
- Alpha marks the first female-led entry in Yash Raj Films' Spy Universe, a franchise that previously centred on male agents in blockbusters like Tiger, War, and Pathaan.
- Director Shiv Rawail makes his feature film debut with Alpha, having previously earned wide praise for helming the Netflix series The Railway Men (2023), a drama about the 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy.
- The film stars Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh as the two lead agents — a high-profile pairing that signals YRF's intent to build a fresh generation of spy universe heroes around women.
- Alpha is the first YRF Spy Universe film to be titled after a female operative's codename, a deliberate choice that underlines its shift away from the franchise's male-dominated naming tradition.
- Sharvari Wagh, who previously appeared in the YRF Spy Universe film War 2 and Bunty Aur Babli 2, takes on a significantly more action-driven role here, reportedly undergoing months of stunt and combat training.
- The film is produced under Aditya Chopra's banner, continuing YRF's pattern of treating spy films as prestige, large-budget productions with extensive location shoots and practical stunt work.
- Alpha arrives at a moment when Hindi cinema is actively expanding its action genre beyond male stars, following the commercial success of films like Dhak Dhak and Mardaani, making its box office performance closely watched by the industry.
