→Trivia
- The film was shot in just 16 days, a very tight schedule for a feature film.
- Director Karthik Seenivasan also wrote the story, which was inspired by real-life news reports about compensation scams.
- The actor playing the father, Vinayakam, is a well-known theatre artist in Tamil Nadu making a rare film appearance.
- Much of the film was shot in a single, old house to keep the production budget very low.
- The movie's title 'Udanpaal' refers to a traditional Tamil sweet, symbolizing a fleeting moment of happiness.
- It premiered directly on a streaming platform, bypassing a traditional theatrical release in cinemas.
- The dark comedy tone was a deliberate shift from the director's previous, more serious short films.
