Trivia
- "Nizhal" means "shadow" in Tamil — a title that quietly captures the film's core idea: the truth is always present but just out of reach, lurking behind privilege and power.
- The film builds its story around twin sisters with entirely different lives, a narrative device that lets the script explore how the same tragedy can produce grief in one person and cold fury in another.
- Placing the murder inside a hospital lab was a deliberate dramatic choice — it turns the very space meant for healing into the site of the crime, giving Saranya's revenge arc an extra layer of professional betrayal.
- Guna, the central villain, is not a career criminal but a CEO's son — a detail that frames the film as much about institutional protection of the powerful as it is about individual evil.
- The love angle between Saranya and sub-inspector Raghu is structured around a cruel irony: the man she trusts completely is duty-bound to investigate a case where she is the prime suspect.
- Director AK Kumar threads three genres — crime procedural, revenge drama, and romance — simultaneously, a balancing act that Tamil commercial cinema has long embraced but that requires tight scripting to keep all three lines credible.
- The film's central conflict — law versus justice — echoes a recurring theme in Tamil cinema, where the formal legal system is often shown as too slow or too corrupt to deliver what victims actually need.
