Ashwini(1991)
'Ashwini' is a 1991 Telugu biographical sports drama film directed by B. C. Mouli and produced by Ramoji Rao. The film stars real-life Indian sprinter Ashwini Nachappa as herself, alongside Bhanu Chander, Shashikumar, and Saranya Ponvannan. The story follows Ashwini, a young girl from a small town who dreams of becoming a national champion sprinter despite family opposition and societal pressure. The film won the Nandi Award for Third Best Feature Film (Bronze) and was showcased in the Indian Panorama section at the 15th International Film Festival of India in 1992. The soundtrack was composed by M. M. Keeravaani with lyrics by Veturi.
