Summa Nachunu Irukku Full Story Explained (2013)

Kannan is an ambitious auto rickshaw driver in Chennai. He works hard every day but is drowning in debt. He owes money to a bank manager and several local lenders. One day, while driving his auto, he sees a group of goons attacking a young woman named Anjali. Kannan bravely intervenes and rescues her. But during the fight, Anjali gets hit on the head and falls into a deep coma. Kannan rushes her to the hospital.

At the hospital, Anjali's wealthy father arrives. He is a rich businessman who loves his daughter deeply. He sees Kannan by her bedside and assumes Kannan is her secret boyfriend. The father thanks Kannan and invites him to stay at their large family home. Kannan, seeing a way out of his financial troubles, does not correct the mistake. He decides to play along and pretend to be Anjali's lover.

Kannan moves into the family mansion. He gets a job at the father's company and starts earning good money. But he faces constant suspicion from two people. Ranjini, Anjali's younger sister, is sharp and observant. She notices that Kannan does not know Anjali's favorite food, her hobbies, or her friends. The family cook, Appukutty, also finds Kannan's behavior strange. They both start investigating Kannan's past.

To keep up his lie, Kannan works hard. He reads Anjali's personal diary to learn about her life. He talks to her friends and memorizes details about their imaginary relationship. He even creates fake love letters and photos. The father becomes very fond of Kannan and treats him like his own son. Kannan feels guilty but cannot stop now.

Then, after several weeks, Anjali wakes up from her coma. Kannan is terrified that she will expose his lie. But Anjali has lost all her memory of the time before the accident. She does not remember Kannan at all. This gives Kannan a second chance. He continues his act, now pretending to be her loving boyfriend while she recovers.

But Ranjini and Appukutty do not give up. They find solid proof of Kannan's deception. They confront him in front of the entire family. Kannan breaks down and confesses everything. The father is furious and feels betrayed. He throws Kannan out of the house immediately. Kannan loses his job, his new home, and the family's trust.

Kannan returns to his old life, sad and alone. But he realizes that honesty is more important than money. He goes back to the family and sincerely apologizes. Meanwhile, Anjali slowly starts remembering bits of the past. She recalls that Kannan saved her from the goons. She tells her father the truth. The father understands that Kannan made a mistake but had a good heart. He forgives Kannan and gives him a second chance.

In the end, Kannan and Anjali fall in love for real. Kannan gets a proper job and clears all his debts. The family accepts him. The film ends on a happy note, with Kannan smiling and finally at peace.
