Singham is a 2011 Indian Hindi-language action film directed by Rohit Shetty. It stars Ajay Devgn as the titular police officer, alongside Kajal Aggarwal and Prakash Raj. The story follows Bajirao Singham, an honest and fearless cop from a village, who is transferred to Goa. There, he takes on a powerful crime boss and politician named Jaikant Shikre. The film is a remake of the 2010 Tamil film Singam and serves as the first installment of Shetty's Cop Universe. It was praised for its action sequences, dialogues, and performances, particularly Devgn's portrayal of Singham. The film was a major commercial success, grossing over ₹140 crore worldwide against a ₹41 crore budget. It was released theatrically on 22 July 2011.

Storyline
Bajirao Singham is an honest police officer in a small village. When a powerful criminal is forced to appear before him, the villain uses his political influence to transfer Singham to Goa. In Goa, Singham discovers the criminal's vast empire and decides to destroy it, even if it means going against the entire system.
