Full Plot

Easwaran is a young man from a Tamil village. He has a very big ego and never admits mistakes. One day, he travels by train and meets Gomathi. They argue over a seat and become enemies. Both are too proud to let the argument go.

Gomathi is a smart and independent woman. She does not tolerate disrespect. After the train incident, she wants nothing to do with Easwaran. But their families live close to each other. They keep bumping into each other at village events and festivals. Every meeting turns into a loud fight. Easwaran's friend Bala tries to calm things down but fails.

Easwaran's grandmother Paati wants him to marry a nice village girl. Gomathi's family also starts looking for a groom for her. Both families hear about the constant fights between Easwaran and Gomathi. They think the two hate each other. But secretly, Easwaran starts feeling attracted to Gomathi. He does not admit it because of his pride.

Gomathi also develops feelings for Easwaran. But she is too proud to show it. They both wait for the other to apologize first. Neither does. The tension builds as Gomathi's family finalizes her wedding to another man. Easwaran hears the news but does nothing. He tells himself he does not care.

The wedding day arrives. Gomathi is dressed as a bride but looks unhappy. Easwaran watches from far away. His grandmother scolds him for being foolish. He finally realizes he loves Gomathi and cannot lose her. He runs to the wedding venue.

Easwaran stops the wedding. He apologizes to Gomathi in front of everyone. He says he was wrong and selfish. Gomathi sees that he has changed. She forgives him and calls off the wedding. Both families are surprised but eventually agree. Easwaran and Gomathi get married. They start their new life together, promising to keep their egos in check.

Family Expectations

Both characters face pressure from their families. Paati wants Easwaran to marry traditionally. Gomathi's family arranges her wedding without her consent. The film shows how family can both help and hinder love.

Second Chances

Easwaran almost loses Gomathi forever. But he gets a second chance when he stops the wedding. The film teaches that it is never too late to change. Apologizing and growing can save a relationship.

Communication

Easwaran and Gomathi never talk honestly about their feelings. They argue instead of sharing. The film shows that silence and pride cause misunderstandings. Open communication could have saved them pain.
