Ramki (born Ramakrishnan on March 31, 1962, in Sattur, Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu) is a Tamil cinema actor who rose to prominence as a leading man in the late 1980s and 1990s. His debut Chinna Poove Mella Pesu (1987) launched a career that included hits like Senthoora Poove (1988) alongside Vijayakanth, which ran over 200 days, and several horror films including Athma (1993) and Karuppu Roja (1996). After a nine-year hiatus following 2004, he made a comeback in character and supporting roles, winning a Best Character Actor award for the Telugu film RX 100 (2018). He continues to appear in Tamil productions including Vettai Naai (2021) with RK Suresh and the horror-comedy Gurumoorthi (2022) directed by K.P. Tanasekar.
