Shashikumar Nayak is a Kannada cinema actor and politician, widely known as the 'Supreme Hero' of Kannada films during the late 1980s and 1990s. He debuted in Chiranjeevi Sudhakara (1988) and rose to stardom with back-to-back hits Rani Maharani and Baare Nanna Muddina Rani (both 1990), and also appeared as Rajinikanth's brother in the Tamil blockbuster Baashha (1995).
