Sanjay Ram is an Indian film director, screenwriter, and producer working in Tamil cinema, primarily known for village-centric action films. His 2006 directorial debut Thoothukudi received positive reviews and was a surprise box office success, followed by Gowravargal (2010) starring Sathyaraj and Vignesh. He has worked across multiple roles in his productions, serving as director, writer, producer, and occasionally actor, as seen in Veeramum Eeramum (2007). Several of his projects, including Poova Thalaiya and Kiliyanthattu: Thoothukudi 2 (2013), remained unreleased despite completion.
