M. G. Sreekumar is an Indian playback singer, music composer, and film producer who works predominantly in Malayalam cinema, with a career spanning over 25 years and more than 3,000 songs across Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Telugu films. He composed music for the Tamil period drama Kanchivaram (2008), directed by Priyadarshan, and the Tamil comedy Poi Solla Porom (2008), directed by A. L. Vijay, marking his entry into Tamil film composing. Born on May 25, 1957, in Haripad, Kerala, he is the son of harmonist Malabar Gopalan Nair and younger brother of music director M. G. Radhakrishnan, having made his breakthrough as a singer with Priyadarshan's Chithram (1988). He has received two National Film Awards, three Kerala State Film Awards, and five Filmfare Awards South over the course of his career.
