Anita Udeep is an Indian Tamil-language film director, screenwriter, and producer, best known for directing the commercially successful coming-of-age film 90ML (2019) starring Oviya. Her Tamil debut was Kulir 100° (2009), a teen drama she wrote, directed, and produced, and she also directed the animated feature Gulliver's Travel (2006), which was shortlisted in the Best Animated Feature Film category at the Oscars. She brings a distinctive focus on taboo and youth-centric subjects in Tamil cinema, with 90ML garnering significant controversy for its frank depiction of women's sexuality while still becoming a box-office hit. Prior to her Tamil career, she earned a master's degree in Film and TV Production from Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, and interned on Steven Spielberg's miniseries Taken (2002).
