Biography
Babu Ganesh is an Indian actor, director, and multi-hyphenate filmmaker active in Tamil cinema since 1985, known for taking on roles spanning acting, direction, writing, music, and production on single projects. He played the character Pandian in Pudhiya Mannargal (1994), a Vikraman-directed romantic drama featuring Vikram and Mohini with music by A. R. Rahman, and made his acting debut in Mudhal Mariyadhai (1985). As a director, he helmed Kadal Pura (1993), attempted a big-budget production titled Bharathi (1996) starring Khushbu that was ultimately discontinued, and released the devotional film Nagalingam (2000). His son Rishikanth followed him into Tamil cinema, appearing in films such as Seemaraja.
