K. J. Yesudas, born Kattassery Joseph Yesudas, is a legendary playback singer and composer whose voice has been a defining pillar of Indian music and cinema for over six decades. His primary contribution lies in the South Indian film industries, most notably Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada, though he has also sung in numerous other Indian languages including Hindi, Bengali, and Oriya.
