S. Ramu is a Tamil cinema director who made his directorial debut with Meesai Madhavan (2004), a Tamil remake of the Malayalam film Kabuliwalla. The film featured debutant Ramana alongside Kutty Radhika and Ilavarasu, and was released on 17 December 2004. Prior to directing, Ramu trained as an apprentice under established Tamil filmmakers including S. A. Chandrasekhar, Vincent Selva, A. Venkatesh, and Thaha.
